About UK Divorces

UK Divorces is a small, independently run directory that helps people going through a separation in Scotland find a family law solicitor without wading through pages of generic search results or paid ad listings dressed up as recommendations.

Why we built this

Most "solicitor directory" sites online are either advertising placements — firms pay to appear, regardless of whether they actually practise family law — or scraped lists that were never checked against the firm's real services. We wanted something different: a short, honest list of Glasgow solicitors, built from real research, where every practice-area claim is checked rather than assumed.

How listings are verified

Every firm on this site started as a lead from genuine market research — Companies House filings, Google Business Profiles, and direct outreach records. Before publishing, we visit each firm's own website and look for an explicit statement that they handle divorce, separation, or children's cases. Firms that confirm this are marked Family Law — Confirmed. Firms we could not verify are still listed, honestly labelled as general practice, because they're real, contactable Glasgow solicitors and may still be worth a call — we just won't claim a specialism we haven't seen evidence for.

We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not fabricate ratings, review counts, or contact details. Where a detail could not be confirmed (a phone number, a review count, a website that was down when we checked), we say so directly in the listing rather than guessing.

Who runs this

UK Divorces is operated by Scotreach, a small Glasgow-based digital services team that also works directly with local solicitors, garages, and tradespeople to help them handle enquiries outside office hours. If you're a solicitor and want your listing corrected, claimed, or removed, use the form on the homepage or the contact page — a real person reads every submission.

What this site is not

This directory does not provide legal advice, does not recommend one firm over another, and inclusion on this list is not an endorsement. If you are going through a divorce or separation, please speak directly with a solicitor about your specific circumstances — nothing on this page should be treated as a substitute for that conversation.
